John Apicella (Wasp 1/Chef)
John was most recently seen onstage in TAMING OF THE SHREW for Shakespeare Festival LA. Also in HISTORY BOYS at the Ahmanson and DURANGO at EastWest Players, THE IMAGINARY INVALID, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, and THE FIRST PICTURE SHOW at San Francisco’s A.C.T., Vaclav Havel’s TEMPTATION and LARGO DESOLATO, Chekhov’s THE WOOD DEMON, and SEX PARASITE for Center Theatre Group, 36 VIEWS at Laguna Playhouse, and a season as Scrooge in the Dallas Theatre Center’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL. A 30-year resident of Los Angeles, his many appearances onstage here include the original production of THE WASPS at the Getty Villa in Malibu, a new musical version of Lynn Seifert’s LITTLE EGYPT, and a revival of Odets’ THE BIG KNIFE. He’s a founding member and past co-artistic director of The Antaeus Company, L.A.’s classical theater ensemble. Antaeus appearances include THE WOOD DEMON, CHEKHOV X 4, PATIENCE, TRIAL BY JURY, Balzac’s MERCADET, Brecht’s MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN, and the first American revival of Arthur Miller’s 1944 Broadway debut THE MAN WHO HAD ALL THE LUCK. Theater out and about - Berkshire Theatre Festival, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Circle in the Square Downtown (NYC), Gateway Playhouse, GeVa Theatre, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Mill Mountain Theatre, Playmakers Repertory Company, Santa Fe Stages and Theatre of the Open Eye (NYC). TV appearances include BONES, NIP/TUCK, ALL THAT, ALLY McBEAL, ER, HOMICIDE, 3rd ROCK FROM THE SUN.
A great believer in projects, he has been a member of The 29th Street Project in New York and has been accused of behaving in an unbecoming fashion numerous times with the Virginia Avenue Project in Los Angeles. He can only respond, “where there’s smoke there’s fire.”

Albert Meijer (Sonny Boy)
Albert Meijer co-founded the Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble and holds a degree in theater from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. While at UCLA, he performed alongside Edward James Olmos in All About Gordon at the Ahmanson Theater. Albert worked with the National Theatre of Greece in the World Premiere of Swallow Song, directed by Lydia Koniordou. He has also worked on three shows in three years at the Getty Villa. First was the World Premiere of Anne Carson’s Hippolytos, in which he understudied the title role. He originated the role of Bigbuxo in the hilarious musical romp Tug of War, written and directed by Meryl Friedman. Last year, Albert performed on the Getty stage with illustrious British actor Henry Goodman in a powerful retelling of Sophocle’s Philoktetes. He was last seen on stage with the Ensemble in Survived: The War Cycle (Rapha), Macbeth (Banquo), I Gelosi (Francesco), and Wounded: The War Cycle (Doc). Steve Totland (Wasp 2/Bruno)
Steve
is an award-winning actor and playwright who has performed at The Goodman Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, Next Theatre, Bailiwick Theatre, Remy Bumppo Theatre (in Chicago) and at The Getty Villa, The Virginia Avenue Project, Antaeus, The Odyssey Theatre, and The Falcon Theatre (in Los Angeles). His plays have been produced by Steppenwolf Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, the Road Theatre, 24th Street Theatre, The Virginia Avenue Project, stageworks/Hudson, Another Country Productions, and the Herring Run Theatre Festival. He received Joseph Jefferson Awards for his performances in Lifeline Theatre’s productions of Talking AIDS to Death, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. His play Face Value was nominated by Actors Theatre of Louisville for the 2005 Heideman Award, and his play Swimming was included in the 2006 Festival of New American Plays in London, England. Steve has taught classes in performance and playwriting at Northwestern University, University of Chicago, Pomona College, and The California Institute of the Arts. He is a proud member of DogEar, a playwright’s collective. Steve teaches theatre at The Buckley School in Los Angeles.
